The limited edition gamepad inspired by Ghost of Yotei hasn't even gone on sale yet, but it's already sparked lively discussions among PlayStation fans.
The new DualSense, which will be released in October alongside the game Ghost of Yotei, has divided the community. Sony showcased the device in July as part of a limited edition console and gamepad bundle, but the online reaction has been mixed.
Pre-orders start on September 4, 2025, priced at $84.99. There have been many comments on Reddit criticizing the design:
"Not for me. Most limited edition gamepads look bad, and this one is one of the worst," wrote one user.
Another added: "Looks like someone smeared something on it."
There are also positive reviews, although significantly fewer.
The controller can be purchased separately or bundled with the console in the Ghost of Yotei version.
Shipping is scheduled for October, coinciding with the game's release, which will be available on PS5 and PS5 Pro on October 2.
