Split-screen co-op is one of the innovations that developers are exploring. And the CEO of Arrowhead is not sure that Helldivers 2 fans really want it.
In the Discord of studio CEO Shams Jorjani, he was asked if split-screen would ever appear. The user suggested that "it's probably too hard on Xbox and PlayStation, but it might be cool on PC."
In response, Jorjani stated that split-screen is "technically possible" and is on the list of features to explore. But, although implementation is possible, the CEO noted:
"I have no idea if this is really what players want."
This mode could add a new element to cooperative gameplay, but now fans are more concerned about optimization, especially on PC, where the game takes up 100 GB more, as well as other popular features such as cross-progression.
