Patch 6.3 adds a number of innovations, focusing on updating the Tomb Kings and Lizardmen. New sound effects, locations, and units have appeared. According to the authors, "every element has been at least slightly changed."
As part of patch 6.3, all Tomb Kings heroes received at least one ability. The developers reworked the faction's technology tree, reducing research penalties, and also updated the locations with the Books of Nagash, enhancing the effects of the found tomes. Rituals have been adjusted in cost and cooldown.
The Lizardmen have also undergone significant changes: the technology tree, hero abilities, and building construction costs have been reworked. Also, some buildings now bring a small income from resources that previously had no effect.
20 new locations have appeared in the game, including Carnival of Chaos, Ogre Mercenary Camp, Covenant of the Crimson Plague, and Unstable Chaos Portal. The developers tried to make them accessible to all factions, while maintaining consistency with the universe. More than 220 characteristics have been balanced. All changes and additions are described in detail here on the official game forum.
