Colin Farrell, who played the Penguin in the series of the same name and in "The Batman" with Robert Pattinson, shared his impressions of the script for "The Batman Part II" and his thoughts on the future of his character in an interview with Deadline. Farrell called the script "outstanding" but clarified that his role would be small: "I have a little bit to do in it, a very small bit."
As for the Penguin series, the actor made it clear that he was not sure about the need for a sequel. According to him, he heard that the studio was considering a second season, but he himself is skeptical about this idea. Farrell admitted that he doesn't know how to logically return to the story, and added that sometimes it's better to stop, because the series turned out so successful, and maybe you shouldn't try to repeat the success.
The premiere of "The Batman Part II" by Matt Reeves is scheduled for October 1, 2027.
