Christopher Nolan will present his version of Homer's classic poem in 2026.
Tom Holland, known for his role as Spider-Man, recently completed filming in Christopher Nolan's "Odyssey," where he played Telemachus, the son of the legendary Odysseus. The actor makes no secret of his delight and calls the script "the best he has ever read," sharing his impressions in an interview with Agence France-Presse.
Nolan, known for his perfectionism and unique approach to directing, has prepared a large-scale adaptation of the ancient Greek epic, where the main character is played by Matt Damon. The film tells the story of Odysseus' long and dangerous journey home after the Trojan War.
Filming took place in Greece, Morocco, Italy and the UK, which emphasizes the scale and commitment to authenticity in the reconstruction of the ancient world. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Charlize Theron and other actors.
Holland previously called working on "Odyssey" the best experience of his life, noting Christopher Nolan's professionalism.
