According to the Vedomosti newspaper, Russian developers are working on a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) "Sineus".
The project is inspired by the history and mythology of Ancient Russia, and, according to its authors, is an original universe combining elements of science fiction and fantasy, with an emphasis on the historical and mythological motifs of Russia and neighboring countries. The plot of the game will tell about Prince Sineus and his brothers.
According to Andrey Krylov, founder of the Skillaz HR platform, "Sineus" has the potential to develop into a franchise.
More than 50 million rubles have already been invested in the project. Now "Sineus" is in the pre-production stage, and its release is scheduled for 2027.
To attract external funding, the Sineus international venture fund will be launched by the end of 2025. In addition, during the same period, the project plans to open its own publishing house, which will be headed by Yaropolk Rash, who previously held the post of product director at Kanobu and Wargaming.
