Sony Pictures has released the trailer for "Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc," a feature-length sequel to the anime dedicated to the "bomb girl."
The full-length anime "Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc" has received a full trailer. This is the franchise's first foray onto the big screen — and a direct continuation of the first season of the series. The plot centers on the mysterious waitress Reze, whose appearance completely changes Denji's life.
The film is based on the "Bomb Girl" arc from Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga and serves as a direct continuation of the first season. According to the plot, after a series of tragic events, Denji faces a new threat — first he falls in love, and then he realizes that his new acquaintance is playing by her own rules.
The project is directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, familiar to viewers from episodes of the original series. The script was again written by Hiroshi Seko, and the animation is handled by the MAPPA studio. Composer Kensuke Ushio has also returned to work on the film. This entire creative trio was already responsible for the first season, but "Reze Arc" promises a different tone — less grotesque, but more drama.
The trailer is available at this link.
The film will premiere on September 19 in Japan, and international distribution will begin on September 24. There is no news yet about a release in Russia.
