Studio Madhouse has released new key visuals for the second season of the anime \"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End.\" One of them shows the heroine with her old team, the other – next to her current companions, with whom she continues her journey.
The director of the new season will be Tomoya Kitagawa, who previously worked on storyboards and directing individual episodes of the first season. His team also includes: assistant director Daiki Harashina, consultant Keiichiro Saito, composer Tomohiro Suzuki, and concept artist Seiko Yoshioka. Evan Call is in charge of the music, as before.
New members have also joined the project: Takasemaru (\"Violet Evergarden\"), Keisuke Kojima (\"Hyakuren no Haou to Seiyaku no Valkyria\"), and Yuri Fujinaki, who previously worked only on the 22nd episode of the first season. All three are responsible for character design, and it is their work that can be seen in the published illustrations.
The premiere of the second season of \"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End\" is scheduled for January 2026.
