Madhouse has unveiled fresh character designs for the second season of \"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End,\" featuring both old and new companions of the main character.
Studio Madhouse has released new key visuals for the second season of the anime \"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End.\" One of them shows the heroine with her old team, and the other shows her with her current companions, with whom she continues her journey.
Tomoya Kitagawa, who previously worked on storyboards and directing individual episodes of the first season, will direct the new season. His team also includes assistant director Daiki Harashina, consultant Keiichiro Saito, composer Tomohiro Suzuki, and concept artist Seiko Yoshioka. Evan Call is in charge of the music, as before.
New members have also joined the project: Takasemaru (\"Violet Evergarden\"), Keisuke Kojima (\"100-Meter Dash\"), and Yuri Fujinaki, who previously worked only on the 22nd episode of the first season. All three are responsible for character design, and their work can be seen in the published illustrations.
The premiere of the second season of \"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End\" is scheduled for January 2026.
