Legendary game designer Hideki Kamiya, who worked on Bayonetta and Devil May Cry, called Konami "idiots" and expressed his desire for Hideo Kojima to revive P.T. or at least make a similar horror game. Kamiya wrote about this on his X page, commenting on the indie horror game The Exit 8, which reminded him of P.T.
When [The Exit 8] came out, I thought, "Ah, this is something like P.T.". It seemed to me then that everyone would be talking about this game, but that didn't happen… yes, P.T. is really forgotten… Konami, you idiots. If the revival of P.T. is impossible, Kojima-san should just make another game in the same style. If Kojima-san doesn't want to, maybe I'll try… I'm not a fan of horror, so it won't be horror… besides, I don't have any ideas anyway…
Kojima-san, in turn, is working on a horror game called OD. Microsoft and director Jordan Peele are also participating in the project.
