Legendary game designer Hideki Kamiya, who worked on Bayonetta and Devil May Cry, called Konami "idiots" and expressed his desire for Hideo Kojima to revive P.T. or at least make a similar horror game. Kamiya wrote about this on his X page, commenting on the indie horror game The Exit 8, which reminded him of P.T.
When [The Exit 8] came out, I thought, "Ah, it's something like P.T.". I thought everyone would be talking about this game, but that didn't happen... yes, P.T. is really forgotten... Konami, you idiots. If the revival of P.T. is impossible, Kojima-san should just make another game in the same style. If Kojima-san doesn't want to, maybe I'll try... I'm not a fan of horror, so it won't be horror... besides, I don't have any ideas anyway...
Kojima-san, in turn, is working on a horror game called OD. Microsoft and director Jordan Peele are also participating in the project.
