The new animated mini-series will continue the plot of the fifth episode of the anthology "What If...?" after the zombie apocalypse.
Marvel has presented the second trailer for the Marvel Zombies mini-series, based on an alternate branch of the cinematic universe from the 2021 episode "What If...?" The plot unfolds in a world engulfed by a virus that has turned superheroes into bloodthirsty zombies. The surviving heroes must fight former allies — including zombie versions of Thanos and Scarlet Witch.
Showrunner and director Bryan Andrews is working on the project, as well as screenwriter Zeb Wells. The characters are voiced by the original MCU actors, including Elizabeth Olsen, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and Simu Liu.
Marvel Zombies will premiere on September 24 exclusively on Disney+. The mini-series will consist of four episodes.
