Train Sim World 6 is coming out on September 30, and the developers are actively talking about what awaits players in the new part of the simulators.
Three weeks before the release of Train Sim World 6, Dovetail Games published a voluminous blog about the main route of the future simulator. Players will find a full 160-kilometer route from Dresden to Leipzig — the oldest intercity line in Germany, opened back in 1839.
First of all, we are talking about a significant expansion of the direction familiar from the "Dresden – Riesa" add-on. Now the route includes a new 65-kilometer section to Leipzig with 20 additional stations. The game also added a 13-kilometer line Dresden – Coswig and an impressive Friedrichstadt marshalling yard with developed logistics.
New trains and updated versions of old ones will appear on the route. The main novelty is the modernized DB BR 411 ICE-T with a manual body tilting system (GNT), allowing it to deviate up to 8 degrees in turns. Also on the list is the updated BR 442 Talent 2 with a redesigned suspension, the heavy shunting BR 294 (available in Deluxe/Special editions), the freight BR 185.5 and the passenger BR 146.2 with two-story Dostos wagons.
Among the gameplay features are support for platform announcements, random events and malfunctions. Players will have to respond to wiper failures, lighting failures and unexpected speed limits. All events are configured separately and are designed for realism and unpredictability.
Train Sim World 6 will be released on September 30 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, as well as in the Epic Games Store and Steam. Deluxe and Special versions will provide early access five days before release and an expanded set of equipment.
Later, the developers will also talk about two other routes — the American Morristown and the British Riviera.
