The creators of Escape from Tarkov have responded to community feedback regarding the excessive strength of AI fighters.
Battlestate Games has made a number of changes to the way bots work, now they should work more fairly — without WallHack and quick aiming.
- Fixed the system for detecting enemies by bots through opaque obstacles in a number of cases;
- Increased the time for initial and repeated detection of an enemy by bots;
- Bots will no longer aim at the head if they saw the enemy 15 or more seconds ago;
- Increased the aiming time of bots after the initial detection of the enemy;
- Adjusted the angles of enemy detection by bots.
The developers clarified that the changes are relevant for regular bots of all difficulty levels, sniper bots, raiders, rogues, PMC bots, the retinue, and most of the bosses.
Separate bosses — Zryachiy and Rogue Bosses — have the old, wider, viewing angle and the same reaction time.
