The Blade & Soul franchise will soon be expanded with another Genshin Impact-style game for smartphones and PCs.
Blade & Soul Heroes, a cross-platform spin-off of NCSoft's popular MMORPG, has garnered over 2 million pre-registrations ahead of its global release. To celebrate this milestone, the developers have unveiled a new musical trailer.
In Blade & Soul Heroes, the narrative focuses on the journey of the heroine Yusol as she follows the trail of the antagonist Yi Chun and the sinister Cult of the Falling Heavens. Along the way, the heroine gathers a squad of allies, each possessing unique skills and stories. There will be over 40 playable characters in total, with a team in battle consisting of five active members.
The gameplay combines elements of turn-based tactics and real-time action. In the first mode, all five heroes enter the field, coordinating attacks, while in the second, the player controls one character, using the remaining team members for support.
Following the example of Arknights: Endfield, the game changes the genre formula, focusing on a single-player adventure in the spirit of Genshin Impact.
The release is scheduled for September 24, 2025, on iOS, Android, and Steam PC — a first in the history of the Blade & Soul franchise, with the project launching simultaneously on all platforms.
