The Witcher series will return with its fourth season in late October. Netflix has revealed how the characters have changed and introduced new faces.
Netflix has unveiled the first official images of the key characters in the fourth season of "The Witcher." The released stills feature Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer, Dandelion, and a new character in the adaptation, Regis.
For the first time, viewers can see Liam Hemsworth as Geralt, who replaced Henry Cavill after the third season.
Ciri, again played by Freya Allan, is also presented in a revamped look. In the fourth season, her character will continue her journey separately from Geralt and Yennefer and find herself among a gang of mercenaries known as "The Rats." The new style, including a short haircut and a tougher visual appearance, emphasizes the change in the character's nature.
Yennefer, played by Anya Chalotra, retains her previous confidence, but her role in the world of magic is changing.
Special attention is drawn to the appearance of Laurence Fishburne as Regis. In Sapkowski's books, this character is not just a healer with a mysterious past, but a higher vampire concealing his true nature.
In the fourth season, Dandelion travels with Geralt, and in one of the episodes, which will feature a full musical number, the origins of his rivalry with Valdo Marx will be revealed — Dandelion's sworn enemy in the bardic guild.
The fourth season will be released on October 30 — Netflix will release all eight episodes at once. The plot is based on the novel "Baptism of Fire," where Geralt recovers from his wounds, finds new allies, and continues his search for Ciri across the war-torn Continent.
