The creators of Baldur's Gate 3 continue to gradually reveal production secrets. They recently recalled that at a certain stage in the game, Larian Studios had a lot of toilet humor.
Writer Martin Docherty said that the Vicious Mockery insults were largely "fecal."
Once all the resulting lines were collected in a large table, which Larian boss Sven Vincke began to study and was very surprised: "Hmm... Why are there so many about poop?". Then he gave the creators a laconic recommendation: "less poop, more Shakespeare."
After that, the writers changed their approach, although some specific lines still made it to the final version of the game.
