As part of the launched promotional campaign, the streaming service released the first teaser for the upcoming season. For the first time, viewers were able to see Hemsworth as the witcher, but the audience's reaction was mixed.
Some in the community criticize the actor, claiming that he looks «like a child» compared to Cavill or resembles a cosplayer. Discussions bring up comparisons to parody adult films and even a quote from «Harry Potter» addressed to Snape: «How dare you stand where he stood?» Some fans believe that the show should have been canceled altogether after Cavill's departure.
At the same time, another part of the audience urges not to jump to conclusions and give Hemsworth a chance. In their opinion, he could make a good witcher.
