Electronic Arts has clarified information about the crossplay system in Battlefield 6, refuting earlier statements. Initially, it was assumed that disabling crossplay on consoles would allow PlayStation and Xbox players to play together, excluding PC users. However, according to Dexerto, EA has confirmed that when crossplay is disabled on consoles, players will only participate in matches with users of their own platform (PlayStation with PlayStation, Xbox with Xbox) and will not be able to play with other consoles or PCs.
When crossplay is enabled, priority in matchmaking is given to console players, but PC users may be added to fill the lobby if necessary. The option to disable crossplay is not available for PC players.
