Half of the sales came from Steam.
According to Alinea Analytics analyst Rhys Elliott, Borderlands 4 sold 2 million copies a week after its release. More than half of the sales — over 1 million copies — came from Steam. The looter-shooter has already brought its creators over $150 million.
Borderlands 4 also broke the peak online record for the series, gathering over 304,000 players at the screens at one point, taking the lead from Borderlands 2, whose peak was 124,000 people.
