Netflix continues to share new footage and details of the second season of the series adaptation of the cult anime "big three".
Netflix has unveiled a new trailer for the second season of "One Piece". The minute-and-a-half video features new footage, behind-the-scenes moments from the filming, cast commentary, and the first appearance of Tashigi, played by Julia Rehwald.
Luffy's crew sets off on a journey through the Grand Line, a dangerous and mysterious sea route where trials and discoveries await them at every turn. On the way to the legendary treasure, the heroes will find themselves on amazing islands and face new enemies. The plot of the second season will cover the arcs from Loguetown to Drum Island, including Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden and Twin Cape.
The first season of One Piece was released in August 2023, received positive reviews and was recognized at the Children’s & Family Emmy Awards. Tomorrow Studios is producing in conjunction with ITV. Earlier this year, Netflix confirmed the series' renewal for a third season, which will begin filming in Cape Town this fall.
Filming for the second season has already been completed. The premiere is expected in 2026, the exact date has not yet been announced.
