Tom Holland talked about the design of his character's new suit in the movie "Spider-Man: A Completely New Day."
In an interview with Complex, Tom Holland confirmed that his character's new suit is inspired by the Spider-Man images embodied by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. According to the plot of the film, Peter finds himself in isolation after the events of "No Way Home" - without Stark's technology, without allies and support. He creates a new suit on his own, and, according to the actor, it will feature elements inspired by the style of the "older brothers" from the multiverse, whom he met earlier.
"I like the idea that he's trying to be like them. He notices details in their costumes that he thinks are cool, and now, creating his own, he is inspired by them."
Earlier, insiders reported that the fourth solo Spider-Man film with Holland will feature a record number of the hero's opponents. However, a significant part of them will be shown in the format of a montage - as in "Fantastic Four: First Steps." Viewers will see how Peter fights crime for several years and gradually improves his suit.
The premiere of the film "Spider-Man: A Completely New Day" is scheduled for July 31, 2026. It was previously reported that Tom Holland suffered a head injury on the set in Glasgow, due to which work on the film was temporarily suspended. It is not yet reported whether the incident will affect the release schedule.
