Note contains spoilers for the novel \"Baptism of Fire,\" \"The Tower of the Swallow,\" and the fourth season of the series \"The Witcher.\"
The premiere of the fourth season of the Netflix series \"The Witcher\" will take place on October 30. Against this background, Redanian Intelligence published information about which characters will survive the new events and who will die.
The season is based on Andrzej Sapkowski's novel \"Baptism of Fire,\" as well as, apparently, part of the events from \"The Tower of the Swallow.\" At the same time, viewers are in for changes: in the fourth part of the story, characters who remained alive in the books will die.
One of the key storylines will be the line of Ciri and the gang \"Rats of the Borderland.\" The heroes shown in the finale of the third season will become a temporary family for her, but their story will end tragically.
The bounty hunter Leo Bonhart, played by Sharlto Copley, will track down the gang and destroy it. Ciri will be captured, where her journey will begin in the fifth season. A similar twist is present in the books, but, according to Redanian Intelligence, the bloodshed will not end there.
The publication reports that the witchers Vesemir, Lambert, and Cohen will take part in the battle during the confrontation between the proto-Lodge of sorceresses and Vilgefortz. Vesemir will die in a duel with Vilgefortz. Keira Metz and Margarita Laux-Antille, sorceresses who become members of the Lodge in the books, will also not survive. Istredd, captured by Vilgefortz in the past season, is also likely dead.
At the same time, Geralt's storyline will be relatively calm. Redanian Intelligence does not report any major losses - only episodic opponents that the witcher will have to face together with his companions will die.
All eight episodes of the fourth season of \"The Witcher\" will be released on October 30, 2025 on Netflix. On the same day, a special episode dedicated to the \"Rats of the Borderland\" is also expected to be available.
