The development is handled by the young studio LilliLandia Games, founded by Tencent. Despite being a debut project, the visual aspect has attracted attention. Animula Nook is a fantasy "life simulation" inspired by Animal Crossing, where players enter a world of miniature creatures. The game is preparing for release on PS5, Switch 2, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store).
According to the authors, we shouldn't expect a release in 2025: even an approximate launch window has not been announced. It is realistic to expect the game only in the second half of 2026.
The official Tencent description promises an unusual experience: reduced to microscopic size, players will inhabit the "home jungle" — from potted plants and forgotten corners to the mysterious depths of an old well. Everything around will become part of the adventure: sunlight and raindrops will turn into resources, and found coins and buttons will turn into treasures.
Players will be able to build houses out of boxes, open cafes in cups, and set up shop windows in spice jars. The character and environment can be customized, and the inhabitants of the tiny world — from cute little people to strange creatures — will develop relationships with the hero and even move in with him if a cozy space is created for them.
