The beta of the new Call of Duty starts in October.
Next week marks the start of the open beta testing for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, where players will be able to try out six of the 18 multiplayer maps. One of them will be the Toshin map, which, according to Treyarch Studios, "transports players to the heart of Tokyo." The map features clearly defined lines, making it ideal for Capture the Flag, Domination, and Search and Destroy modes. Toshin features iconic locations, including a cat cafe, karaoke bar, an old town district, and the main city center.
Treyarch also provided more details about the Den map, which is also set in Japan. This map will not be in the beta, but it will be available in the game upon release. Den is a Japanese palace captured by The Guild, with a high-tech interior.
