However, the retailer will continue to offer Nintendo and PlayStation products.
Major retailer Costco has officially confirmed that it is discontinuing the sale of Xbox Series X and S consoles in its stores and online platforms in the US and UK. In a statement given to former IGN employee Destin Legarie, a Costco representative clarified that the retail chain does not plan to sell Xbox consoles in the future, calling it a "business decision".
Costco may not be the only retailer abandoning Xbox. A user under Legarie's post noted that EB Games also appears to be reducing Xbox sales. An EB Games Canada employee reported that the retailer is selling off its existing console inventory online and does not plan to replenish it. Only the Xbox Series S is available for delivery or pickup on the EB Games Canada website, while the Xbox Series X can only be picked up in stores where it is still in stock. EB Games Australia and EB Games New Zealand have even removed the Xbox logo from their websites.
