Project Motor Racing decided to move away from the practices customary for the genre. The authors will not earn from season passes, offering a different approach to development.
At the Tokyo Game Show, GIANTS Software and Straight4 Studios reminded about the project. The developers showed new cars and the Sebring track, and most importantly, emphasized that they want to act differently than competitors.
"No passes. No arenas. No subscriptions," said Straight4 head Ian Bell. From day one, Project Motor Racing will have a full-fledged online experience without additional payments and hidden restrictions. Players will have access to monthly ranked championships with track rotation, driver leaderboards, custom lobbies, and quick social races for beginners.
The network system looks massive and is designed for fair races without a price barrier.
New partners were also announced at TGS 2025: Acura, Chevrolet, Mazda, Mercedes-AMG, Nissan and Toyota. The garage will feature the Mazda 787B, Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R and Toyota GR Supra GT4 Evo. The total list of cars reached 70 models.
