EA and DICE have released a new Battlefield 6 trailer dedicated to the Battlefield Portal mode, revealing more details about its capabilities.
Those familiar with Battlefield 2042 should remember that Battlefield Portal is not a new game in the franchise, but a serious development of the existing mode. The new trailer showed that players will now be able to create their own maps and scenarios from scratch, rather than being limited to pre-set templates, as was the case in Battlefield 2042.
In addition to the trailer, several content creators were given the opportunity to play the mode before its official release on October 10 and talk about its features.
The key difference of Battlefield Portal is the ability to gain experience regardless of the game mode. In modes marked "Verified Creator", it is fully credited, and in "Custom" modes, experience is limited by the time in a specific scenario. This way, players will always earn experience, no matter how much time they spend in the game.
Blogger Westie analyzed in detail what to expect from Battlefield Portal and shared a gameplay video.
Battlefield 6 will be released on October 10, 2025 on Xbox Series S|X, PS5 and PC.
