The creators of Assetto Corsa EVO have introduced a major update to their game. The project is available in version 0.3 and is gradually approaching the end of early access.
The main innovation is the first stage of the introduction of online mode. At this stage, the servers support races for 16 players.
Update 0.3 also affected the physics. The developers have improved the modeling of tires and suspension. The new suspension algorithm and modernized damping system operates at a frequency of 1000 Hz, significantly improving the feedback of the car during lane changes, braking and changes in direction.
The authors also improved the graphic part — the global illumination was reworked and the load on the video card was optimized. The sound has also been updated: thanks to the new system, the engines of cars sound more natural.
Also, 9 new cars and 2 tracks have been added to the game: Red Bull Ring and Circuit de Spa.
