Pragmata's promotional materials intrigued players, but the game was in no hurry to be released. The launch of Capcom's new product has been postponed several times.
Recently, Pragmata game director Yoong Hee spoke with TheGamer and explained the reason for the postponements — work on the game mechanics:
Although the main idea and concept of the game have not changed, the implementation of hacking puzzles turned out to be a difficult task:
"This is the main reason [for the delay]. There was so much trial and error to figure out what might work and what works best."
Producer Naoto Oyama clarified: "Having two mechanics — Diana's hacking attacks and Hugo's shooting — became one of the reasons why we devoted more time to the game. We took the time to balance it all out."
They do not consider the early disclosure of the game a mistake, but rather — this and the reaction of the community became a motivation for the team.
Pragmata is currently scheduled for release in 2026.
