Nilfgaardian military leader Menno Coehoorn will transform into Mina Coehoorn in the Netflix adaptation.

Filming for the fifth season of Netflix's "The Witcher" is nearing completion, and Redanian Intelligence continues to share details about the project. According to new data, the adaptation will feature a female version of one of the key Nilfgaardian military leaders — Marshal Coehoorn, a role that has gone to Naomi Battrick ("The Serpent Queen," "His Dark Materials").

In Andrzej Sapkowski's literary saga, Marshal Menno Coehoorn was Emhyr var Emreis's right-hand man and commanded the Empire's army during the Second Northern War. He led the Nilfgaardian forces at the Battle of Brenna — one of the key battles of the cycle, in which Coehoorn dies. According to Redanian Intelligence, the battle will be shown in the fifth season, meaning Coehoorn's fate will likely remain the same.

It was also previously reported that Shani would return and the "Vrihedd" Brigade would appear, further confirming plans to adapt the Battle of Brenna.

In addition to Mina Coehoorn, the final season will feature other new characters not found in the books. They will be played by: Tatiana Nardone (Elora), Claire Cogan (Karina), Riley Woodward (Tavish), and Nadia Albina (Peggy).

The fifth season will be the final one for the series. Its release is expected in 2026. In the meantime, viewers are awaiting the fourth season with Liam Hemsworth as Geralt, which will premiere on October 30.
