Fans of the old RPG franchise will soon be able to get a modern analog game.
Connoisseurs have been asking for a remake of Parasite Eve for many years. Recently, a project has appeared that is very reminiscent of the franchise's games.
IceSitruuna has introduced Parasite Mutant — a turn-based role-playing game with characteristic elements. The combat system uses the Active Time Chains mechanic, which "combines the Active Time Battle system used in role-playing games of the late 90s with a three-segment chain system. Players need to time each segment and decide whether to conserve energy and use the chain. As the scale fills, players need to dodge enemy attacks and attack at the best moment."
The main character of Parasite Mutant will face a variety of mutants. The release is expected in 2026 on PC and PlayStation 5.
