Heretic + Hexen Classic Shooter Collection Gets First Update with New Features

Developers continue to support the classics.

Recently, Nightdive Studios returned to the Heretic + Hexen collection. The developers have released an update for the shooters.

Some changes and new features:

• Heretic: Added randomization of the placement of the Firemace from the original game (albeit with a 100% spawn chance instead of 75% as in the original).
• Added the ability to disable subtitles in cutscenes in the Accessibility menu.
• Added the option to restore the original two-button press behavior when selecting inventory items.
• Added the option to disable weapon animation smoothing.
• Added keybindings for "look up", "look down", and "center view".
• Allowed more buttons to be used to navigate text screens
• Gameplay modifiers menu is now available not only on the difficulty selection screen, but also, for example, in the episode selection menu
• Various bug fixes and balance tweaks
