Although Battlefield fans asked the developers to tie weapon types to classes in Battlefield 6, Battlefield Studios decided to limit themselves to grenade types for now.
Now each class — assault, sniper, engineer and medic — only has access to certain grenades. For example, the assault can use stun and flashbang grenades, the engineer can use anti-tank grenades, the medic can use smoke grenades, and the sniper can use a sensor that marks enemies on the mini-map. Only the fragmentation grenade, which can be used by all classes, remained universal.
