Borderlands 4 recently received an update that buffed Vault Hunters — including Vex.
However, fans of the heroine were soon horrified: old builds stopped working, and the heroine's "bleed" (via Bloodletter) no longer allowed for quick boss kills.
Previously, some in the community had called for Vex to be nerfed for her excessive power, so fans of the heroine immediately decided that this was a deliberate weakening and began to express their grievances to Gearbox.
Borderlands 4 creative director Graham Timmins responded to the complaints. He explained that a "nerf" was planned, but not now — an error had occurred:
«We discovered that Vex's "bleed" is no longer a status effect. This was not intended. While we plan to address the "bleed" issue in the future, this "hidden" change was actually just an accident. We are determining the timing for restoring the status effect behavior.»
