Outliver: Tribulation combines the ideas of Resident Evil and Dark Souls in a mystical African setting.
The mobile version of Outliver: Tribulation, a mystical third-person shooter from Nigerian studio GBROSSOFT, has been released on Android. The developers combined elements of combat horror, "soulslikes" and African mythology in the project.
Players will take on the role of soldier Bolanle Gboyegu, who, while escaping from rebels, finds himself in the mysterious Realm of Tribulation. To return home, he needs to go through an ancient ritual, but this is only the tip of the iceberg.
The hero has a rifle, mystical weapons and combat amulets in his arsenal, and additional abilities are unlocked as the character levels up.
The game was originally released on Steam in 2023 and received "mostly positive" reviews. Players note the original setting and atmosphere, but criticize the weak animation, monotony and limited combat system.
The mobile version is available on Google Play.
