A leading media outlet has recognized the ROG Xbox Ally X as an important step in the evolution of portable gaming.
Time Magazine has included the ROG Xbox Ally X in its list of the best inventions of 2025. In its annual selection, the publication highlights not only technological achievements but also products that reflect key trends of the time. In the case of the Ally X, it's about the desire for versatility - it's one of the few portable consoles that doesn't limit the user to a single ecosystem.
The Time article emphasizes that the gaming industry is becoming increasingly mobile, and the Ally X is"a powerful response from ASUS and Microsoft to this trend". The console was created as a cross-platform device capable of running games from Xbox Game Pass, as well as from Steam, Epic Games Store, and other digital platforms.
"It would have been easy for us to create another walled garden. But gamers wanted to be able to play their games, no matter where they came from," said Jason Beaumont, Vice President of Xbox at Microsoft.
The console is already available for pre-order in Russia. The standard ROG Ally is equipped with an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, 16 GB of RAM, a 512 GB SSD, and a 65 W·h battery.
The flagship ROG Ally X offers significantly higher performance: a Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chip, 24 GB of RAM, a terabyte SSD, and an 80 W·h battery.
The base version of the ROG Ally costs about 60,000 rubles, while the flagship Ally X will cost approximately 90,000 rubles.
