Blizzard regularly updates its online shooter, adding fresh modes, characters, and cosmetic novelties. The October update will traditionally be dedicated to Halloween, and the developers promise one of the most original events in the history of the game. The new season will bring not only the usual horror stories, but also new mechanics.
Season 19: Haunted Masquerade starts on October 14, 2025, with a dark masquerade atmosphere. Heroes will be able to wear masks of other characters, gaining new abilities — for example, Orisa throws a spear, Winston uses Tracer's powers, and some characters connected in the plot, like Reinhardt and Brigitte, will receive unique effects. The Junkenstein’s Revenge and Wrath of the Bride events will return, and the Stadium map will be supplemented by three new heroes. All this creates a balance of nostalgia and fresh ideas that revive the game's Halloween atmosphere.
Special gadgets will also appear — disposable items with powerful effects: an amulet removes negative statuses, rollers will allow you to instantly escape from a dangerous situation. The new Battle Pass will offer a mythical skin, and the developers promise other surprises that will keep players engaged until the end of the season.
