Square Enix has released a video comparing the graphics of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, showcasing the game's performance on PS5, Xbox Series, PC, and Switch 2. The material, originally published on Weibo, has appeared on YouTube. The results are impressive: the Switch 2 version looks great, despite hardware limitations.
The video shows that Switch 2 maintains high image quality even alongside more powerful platforms. Square Enix previously confirmed that the game runs at 30 fps on Switch 2. The PS5 and Xbox Series versions offer a graphics mode and a performance mode, where 60 fps is achieved.
The technical parameters of the Xbox Series have not been officially disclosed, but it is expected that they will repeat the configuration of the PS5: native 4K at 30 fps and dynamic 4K with the possibility of 60 fps. The PC version offers maximum settings, but the differences in graphics between platforms are minimal, except for resolution and frame rate.
The comparison highlights the capabilities of Switch 2, especially the balance between visuals and stability. Despite the lower performance compared to current-generation consoles, the results show significant progress for Nintendo's new device.
