American actor Glen Powell, known for the films "Top Gun: Maverick" and "Twisters", revealed at New York Comic-Con 2025 that he can't tear himself away from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. He confessed that he has become a big fan of this game and would like to star in its screen adaptation.
A project based on the game from Sandfall Interactive was already announced in January 2025, even before the game's release. Production is being handled by Story Kitchen, the studio behind the success of the Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise.
Powell is considered one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood. He will soon appear in "The Running Man" based on the novel by Stephen King.
It is not yet known whether Sandfall Interactive and Kepler Interactive can afford an actor of this caliber. Meanwhile, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has sold more than five million copies, exceeding all expectations of the publisher.
