The project, published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, has become one of the largest releases in recent years. It has been actively developed and regularly received updates, but their number has led to the accumulation of technical problems. The team will take a break and focus on optimization.
The latest major update, Into the Unjust, added a lot of new content, but caused even more errors and performance drops. In September, the developers promised to revise the development plan and prepare a series of fixes — the process has already begun.
Director Mikael Eriksson admitted that the game faced many problems:
«Many things are not working correctly, including performance. We are seeing fps drops, crashes, and freezes. It got even worse after Into the Unjust, and the players' complaints are completely justified».
According to him, the team is postponing some updates to achieve stability. Quick fixes are already in the works, but serious improvements, such as increased performance on consoles, will take more time. The developers ask fans to be patient.
