Glen Schofield hopes that the new EA owners will listen to him and give him money.
Glen Schofield is very pleased that EA has new owners who will listen to him and possibly give him money for a new Dead Space. The veteran spoke about this in an interview with IGN as part of Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show.
Schofield recently approached EA with a proposal to cut costs by $30–40 million by using models from EA Motive, which created the Dead Space remake in 2023, and assemble a new team to work on the project. However, EA rejected his idea, stating that it was no longer interested in developing the series. The developer hopes that the new EA managers will be more accommodating.
I have a few ideas, and one of them is Dead Space 4. Given that EA has recently changed owners, I see opportunities in this.
Schofield also believes that the Dead Space series needs to be adapted into other forms of media such as films and TV series.
