Paul Bettany will soon return to the role of Vision in the final chapter of the «WandaVision» trilogy.
At the New York Comic Con 2025, actor Paul Bettany shared details about the chronology of the «Vision Quest» series, where he will return to his role. In an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, he clarified that the new project takes place approximately one year after the events of «WandaVision».
«Vision's story continues about a year later. White Vision has been given all of Red Vision's memories. He's finding it difficult to feel them, to connect to them. He understands them on an intellectual level but wants to feel those memories — and that's part of the show's story».
Thus, «Vision Quest» will continue the story after the finale of «WandaVision», focusing on the hero's attempt to reconcile mind and emotions, as well as the search for his own identity.
Earlier, Bettany described the series as deeper and more personal than fans expected.
«It deals with intergenerational trauma… about fathers and sons, about denying pain, about denying your own truth and about accepting who you are».
«Vision Quest» will be released on Disney+ in 2026 and will be the third and final part of the trilogy that began with «WandaVision» and continued with the series «Agatha All Along».
