In 2026, with the help of the "Light and Darkness" expansion for the "Penumbra: Trials of Arcana" board game, gamers will be able to evaluate a new mechanic, try out new spells, and conduct Rituals. Plus, there is a chance to get special sets of promo cards.
Employees of the "Fabrika Igr" publishing house announced that pre-orders are open for the "Light and Darkness" expansion for the "Penumbra: Trials of Arcana" board game. It can be purchased for 2490 rubles.
Also, thanks to a special promotion, the basic game can now be purchased for 4190 rubles, and a set with the base and expansion – for 6390 rubles. The team will add special sets of promo cards as a gift to any order – "Exiled Masters", "Strange Affairs" and "Witchcraft Ailments", which will not be sold at retail.
The above-mentioned expansion will introduce the mechanic of Fate into the game — striving for Light or Darkness. Depending on the decisions made in the game, gamers will be able to become either a model of good and justice, or reveal the darkest sides of their soul.
They will have a chance to get new Spark Marks and powerful cards of the Elder Disciplines – Diamond and Onyx, containing new spells, potions, pets and even artifacts, conduct Rituals, pass Exams, and explore the dungeon in the "Ruins" location.
In "Penumbra", participants will become wizards starting their training in the art of witchcraft. They will attend classes, develop skills in magical disciplines, obtain ingredients, brew potions, summon creatures, fulfill contracts in the city guild and overcome severe trials.
The base game is already ready for shipment, but the expansion and promo cards will only reach buyers in the spring of 2026.
