According to information from well-known insider AMD Kepler L2, the next generation of the Xbox console promises to be a premium and high-tech device, but with a corresponding price. On the NeoGAF forum, the insider stated that the cost of the new Xbox is likely to exceed $1,000. This is due to the high cost of components, which is more than twice the cost of manufacturing the Xbox Series X (about $650).
The new console will run on an AMD Magnus APU processor. Kepler L2, who previously provided reliable information about AMD products, emphasized that the system price will be at least $999. Moreover, if rumors of Steam and third-party store support are confirmed, Microsoft will not be able to subsidize the cost of the console through a 30% commission on game sales, which will further increase its price.
