The game will be released in 2026 on PC and consoles. Along with the announcement, the first trailer was shown, which conveys the atmosphere and the setup of the plot.
Like the "Paranormal Activity" films, the project uses the "found footage" format — shooting with a handheld camera. The story tells about Daniel and Jessica Stewart, a young couple who moved into an old, dilapidated house — the only housing they could afford.
The couple decides to film the renovation on video, but soon find strange symbols and objects in the walls, and an evil force begins to manifest in the house.
The gameplay combines exploration, puzzle solving, and contact with paranormal entities. The developers promise the ability to move between timelines and make decisions that affect the plot. Thanks to the studio's Paranormal Engine, each playthrough will be unique.
The studio's previous game, The Mortuary Assistant, received recognition for its atmosphere and original horror techniques. If Threshold maintains the same standard, the game could become one of the most notable horror premieres of 2026.
