Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is just days away from release, but a new report shows that the game's sales are significantly behind Battlefield 6.
On November 14, 2025, a new installment in one of the most famous shooter series will be released. Since its announcement, there have been heated debates around it: some of the audience are waiting for a return to the classics, while others criticize the course chosen by Activision.
According to Alinea Analytics, pre-orders for Black Ops 7 are significantly lower than those of its competitor from EA.
The analysis covers 18 days before the release of both games on Steam. During this time, Battlefield 6 sold almost a million copies, while Black Ops 7 sold only 200,000 copies.
The situation is exacerbated by the fact that Black Ops 7 is only in 173rd place on the Steam wishlist. However, the report only takes into account the PC version — some fans prefer consoles or are waiting for the game on Xbox Game Pass.
Meanwhile, Battlefield 6 is showing excellent results: more than 10 million copies sold and at least 300,000 active players on Steam. The free Battlefield RedSec mode has also quickly gathered a large audience.
Analysts remind us that the Call of Duty franchise still has a huge community. Even with a weak start, the Warzone ecosystem and console sales could ensure a strong finish for the project. The final results will be known after the release.
