A trailer featuring gameplay footage of Aphelion has been released. The developers, who worked on Life is Strange and Tell Me Why, are preparing another emotional story.
The events unfold in 2060. Earth is dying, and the last hope lies in Persephone, a planet discovered at the edge of the solar system. Two astronauts, Arian and Thomas, are sent by the European Space Agency as part of the Hope 01 mission to determine if it can be made into a new home for humanity. But after a ship accident, the heroes are separated and struggle to survive on the frozen and hostile planet.
Aphelion is a third-person adventure action game where exploration, survival, and drama are intertwined. Players will have to wander through the icy landscapes of Persephone, encountering anomalies and threats that defy the laws of physics. The authors promise elements of stealth and a constant sense of danger — "you are not alone, something is moving under the ice."
The game uses research tools: a rope hook, oxygen cylinders, and scanners to help explore the planet. But the focus remains on the connection between Arian Monclair and Thomas Cross — their past and feelings will be the key to salvation.
Aphelion is scheduled for release in 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and the game will also appear on Xbox Game Pass from day one.
