The upcoming Call of Duty film adaptation from Paramount Pictures is gradually gaining details.
Paramount Pictures has reached an agreement with Activision to create a Call of Duty film adaptation, and now the first names of the project team have become known. According to Deadline, Taylor Sheridan ("Yellowstone", "Land Man") and Peter Berg ("Lone Survivor", "Deepwater Horizon") will head the film.
The duo has already worked together on the film "Hell or High Water", which received four Oscar nominations, and "Wind River", for which Sheridan won an award at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.
It is reported that Sheridan and Berg will co-write the script, and Berg will take the director's chair. Both authors will produce the project, as well as David Glasser, head of 101 Studios, which produces Sheridan's series for Paramount.
It is not yet known whether the film will be based on a specific game or will present an original plot. According to sources, Paramount is counting on a large-scale international project that will maintain the dynamics of Call of Duty and will be accessible to a wide audience.
The start date of filming and the premiere of the film have not yet been announced.
