The creators of "Stranger Things" knew how to put an end to the story long before they started working on the fifth season.
The premiere of the fifth season of "Stranger Things" is just around the corner. And although almost ten years have passed since the release of the first episode, the creators of the series claim that they knew its ending almost from the very beginning.
During a panel at the Lucca Comics and Games festival in Italy, which was attended by the main actors and showrunners of the series — the Duffer brothers, the creators said that the ending of the story was planned in advance.
"Perhaps the most difficult thing is to understand exactly how to end the show. Fortunately, six or seven years ago, we already knew what the final scene would be. We always imagined what the last forty minutes would be like."
The authors added that when creating the ending, they were inspired by the best series finales and sought to make it emotionally rich and memorable.
"At some point, you need to be able to let go and say goodbye. We didn't think about this until we wrote the final episode, but when we read it together with the actors, we realized how much it reflects our own experience. We hope that the feeling we experienced will be conveyed to the audience."
The fifth season will be divided into three parts. The first will appear on Netflix on November 26, the second on December 25, and the final episode will be released on December 31, 2025.
